She moves back home because there is no one to take care of her after the death of her parents. The town is far-removed from life in the big city and she feels like she's quite alone. She works at a local video store called "Empire Video" for minimum wage (which is not enough to pay for her rent) in order to help make ends meet. Crista has a free spirit, but she is still reserved and keeps to herself in most social situations. She has a lot of friends at work, but none outside the store due to her reserved nature.
